Sun Czar and Joanna Belous became interested in photography early in life.  At an early age, Sun Czar would curiously watch his father shoot photography as a hobbyist with an Olympus SLR camera.  Sun Czar also found great interest and creativity through filming movies with a childhood friend.  This creative outlet proved very valuable as video production would open opportunities to further advance in college and establish an 18 year career with The University of Arizona.  During his time working for the University, photography would become Sun Czar’s primary focus and passion.

Joanna started shooting photography on her father's Olympus OM-1 35mm film camera.  She studied photography and film development in high school and quickly developed an appreciation and love for the craft.  After several years of being a hobbyist, she has developed her own eye and style.  Her collaboration efforts with Sun Czar have complemented their work and their relationship.

Over the years their photography style has evolved.  While Joanna continues to enjoy photography as a hobby, Sun Czar has enjoyed photography as a career.  His work has been published in the AZ Republic, ChArt Magazine, and several online and print publications.  He has photographed numerous public figures such as former City of Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon, retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, US Congressman Greg Stanton, US Surgeon General Jerome Adams, and Liberian Vice President Joseph Boakai.

Our daughter Lilia enjoys shooting on one of her father's first digital cameras, a Canon PowerShot A610.  With the right guidance, she has a promising career ahead of her!
